The spa offers a wide range of facilities for leisure and sports. For some it is the “outdoor training camp” for others just a leisure paradise. Lovers of unusual kinds of sports are here in best hands, too. What about attending a course in paragliding from the mountains above the river Lahn for example. Those who think that too risky can practise different other kinds of sport like tennis, dancing or crazy golf here in the spa.

Fitness trail in the forest: “VITA-Parcours”

You will find the “VITA-Parcours” on the Bismarckhöhe behind the Hufelandklinik. There is a parking space at the edge of the forest above the clinics. You can start from the car park  “Trümmerborn”. The “VITA-Parcours” has a total number of 20 training units which are distributed over a course of 2 to 2 ½ kilometres. The course is a circular course, meaning start and finish are in the same place. The “VITA-Parcours” starts with a warm-up course of 200 to 300 metres up to the first training unit. The other training units are located in distances of about 100 metres away from each other – starting with exercises up to an easy and moderately difficult power training and two further running exercises. The course joins a mountain-hiking trail up to the “Schöne Aussicht”. The starting point in the town is the “Pfahlgraben”.

Tennis

Those who are going to chase the yellow tennis ball will doubly enjoy themselves. The facilities of the “TC Blau Weiß Bad Ems “ (tennis club) are fantastically situated in the middle of an island and are among the most modern ones in the region. This may be the reason that the “TC Blau Weiß Bad Ems”  is one of the most successful clubs in Rheinland-Pfalz. Many senior and junior teams achieve superb sporting successes every year. Since 1993 the tennis club has been resident on the “Insel Silberau” with its six very well looked after clay courts, a pitch and a fully run clubhouse. From April to October active tennis enthusiasts with different abilities can use the facilities or just relax in a convivial company on the large-sized terrace. Best preconditions that you don’t have to abstain from your passion for tennis.
